Hello world,
This is the new home of my (mostly) seamstress adventures and paid gigs.
Some of you may know my work under my previous entity of Punk Faerie Productions.
My work will continue to be varied including custom made garments, costumes, bags, accessories, props and whatever else should come my way.
I’ve always loved the challenge of making things based on historical and vintage designs as well as designing from the inspirations of my clients to create something unique to them. With my background in theatre and in general of ‘making it work’, I try my best to make things possible.
The first steps of the transformation process are underway.
- Firstly, this website is shaping up slowly – more content to be added soon!
- Secondly – and a different sort of challenge is the Sewing Room Overhaul (SRO) 2013…
Currently half of the room/closet contents are residing in my living room so that new shelves can be installed. Thus far my nemesis has been the wall/studfinder that does not in fact find studs… I guess I’ll be filling in some extra holes and remounting the brackets…
My new logo is a variation on my own name (at last) and links to names in my family heritage. The scissors are a pair of tailor’s shears that I scanned from a re-pro 1927 Eaton’s catalogue. I wanted something simple that could apply to the many things I do. The font is Mona Lisa Solid (for all the font nerds out there) – I like a bit of serif but didn’t want anything too overstated (Curlz anyone?)
More exciting updates soon!
Thanks for reading.
Love Heather
