Exciting times when new patterns arrive in the mail!
I took advantage of a recent sale and ordered 3 dress patterns online. Two of them are reproductions of vintage models and one is a Gertie’s design – vintage inspired.
Unfortunately, the mail carrier shoved the envelope into my small mailbox, ergo crumpled patterns – glad they weren’t actual vintage versions!
This 1935 design I got mostly for the blouse. The dress is a fairly simple design that might be good to ease into 1930s sewing. Not a huge fan of the long jacket, but maybe it would be nicer in a darker colour…
I like the matching redingote. Nicer outerwear is on my list to make.
I love the contrast neckline. As another sewist blogger commented, this feature is great if your main fabric isn’t the most flattering for your skin tone.
